Location. Situated next to Hamburg's Planten un Blomen park and gardens, the Radisson SAS Hamburg is a towering, 27 floor landmark set 500 metres from the Alster Lake and one kilometre from the Town Hall and the Kunsthalle Art Gallery. Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel Airport (HAM) is nine kilometres from the hotel, around 30 minutes by car. Hotel Features. The marble lobby has four reception desks, a candelabra which hangs through a spiral staircase, and a separate lounge area where leisure travellers and businesspeople lounge in leather armchairs reading the complimentary newspapers.
Trader Vic's Restaurant and Mai Tai Bar, a South Seas themed restaurant, showcases handmade Tiki figures, original Indian canoes and artwork. This renowned restaurant serves French Polynesian specialities such as fresh lobster, crispy duck, beef flambe´ and home made coconut rum ice cream. Vierländer Stuben Restaurant serves a breakfast buffet and features a winter garden. The Park bistro serves regional and international dishes throughout the day as well as pastries, coffee, beer and cocktails.
The health club comprises a 14 metre pool, a sauna, a solarium and a fully equipped fitness room. Massage treatments are available, and there is a juice bar and an outdoor south facing terrace which opens in summer.
Guestrooms. All 560 rooms are carpeted and have desks, coffee tables and walk in wardrobes. Driving Directions
Driving directions: From Hamburg Fuhlsbnttel Airport, take Flughafenstrasse, then turn right onto Alsterkrugchaussee, also called highway B433. Go about four kilometres and then take Rosenbrook (still B433) for 350 metres. Turn left onto Tarpenbekstrasse and continue along Lenhartzstrasse and then Eppendorfer Baum. Turn right onto Klosterstern and take the second exit at the roundabout for Rothenbaumchaussee. Turn left at the end of this street, then take the first right and again the first right to enter the hotel's underground car park.
